Dr. Wendy Arundale. Ph.D., Psychologist
Wendy works within a holistic framework that takes into account mind, body, spirit, and relationships. She looks for the Spirit of God in her clients, drawing out their unique strengths and skills, as well as seeking to build new ones. Her focus is on helping her clients heal through reaching their therapeutic goals. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, EMDR, and a variety of other techniques. She likes to work collaboratively with clients, integrating approaches that seem best suited to each person’s individual needs. She sees individual adults, couples, groups, and some older teens. Specialties include emotional and relationship issues, stress reduction, depression, anxiety, PTSD and other forms of trauma—including physical, sexual, and emotional abuse, alcohol and drug issues, and grief/bereavement, but she also sees clients with other concerns. Wendy does psychological testing and assessment. Wendy is a member - American Psychological Association (Division 12 Society of Clinical Psychology, Division 45 Society for the Study of Ethnic Minority Issues, Division 56 Trauma) and a member - International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies
Mark Shields, MSW, LCSW
Mark employs an eclectic approach to therapy, including cognitive behavioral, behavioral, and systems approaches. Mark works with individuals, couples, families, and groups dealing with a wide range of emotional, relational, and spiritual issues. Specialties include anxiety disorders, attention deficit disorder, grief and bereavement counseling, obsessive compulsive disorder, pervasive developmental disorders, physical abuse/ violence victims, post traumatic stress disorder, sexual abuse/violence victims and terminal illness. Mark is a Fellow in the American Association of Pastoral Counselors and also holds memberships in the Academy of Certified Social Workers and the National Association of Social Workers.
Caroline Atkinson, M.A., LPC
Caroline Atkinson is a licensed professional counselor. She specializes in women’s issues, grief and healing work, marriage and family therapy, children and adolescence, as well as depression and anxiety concerns.
Cathy Johnson, MSN, MHA, APRN-BC, FACHE
Ms. Johnson is a psychiatric/mental health clinical nurse specialist and nurse practitioner. She provides individual therapy and medication management for adult clients experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, adjustment disorders, attention deficit disorder and post traumatic stress disorder. Ms. Johnson is a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association, American College of Healthcare Executives and several military/retiree associations.
